Pieter aka Parker
I’m Pieter — 30 years old, Dutch, and a geography teacher with a knack for planning, storytelling, and obsessing over perfect video edits. I love turning real-life experiences into visual narratives and finding the strange beauty in ordinary places.
Behind the scenes, I’m usually the one mapping the route, organizing the chaos, and editing videos until midnight. Then I wake up at sunrise to go running in the woods — it keeps my mind sharp and my energy grounded.
Ruiting aka Rider
Hi, I’m Ruiting — or Rachel, if that’s easier! I’m 31, born and raised in China, trained as a nurse, but happiest working with kids and connecting with people. I bring warmth, curiosity, and color to our travels.
When I’m not making new friends or hunting down snacks, I love creating tiny animals out of felt — soft, handmade moments that remind me to slow down and enjoy the details.
Our love story
Long before Parker and Rider became a thing, we met as teenagers — first as online friends, then as something more. Years of long-distance love followed, with flights back and forth between the Netherlands and China. Eventually, we moved in together and got married in 2020.
Covid canceled our wedding party, but we celebrated properly in 2023, surrounded by friends and family.
We may appear fairly different, but we complement each other in all the right ways. Cultural differences can be tricky sometimes, but more often they make our relationship stronger, deeper, and much more fun.
